Consultations and Screenings
Collaborative consultations with educators, families and other professionals, along with speech and language screenings to identify potential areas of concern and determine appropriate next steps.Â
Comprehensive Evaluations
Thorough speech and language evaluations designed to identify communication strengths and areas of need. Evaluations are conducted in alignment with IDEA requirements and applicable educational regulations to support informed eligibility and educational planning.Â
General Education Intervention Support
Collaboration with teachers, school teams, and families to support students within the general education environment through classroom strategies, accommodations, communication supports, and intervention recommendations.
Speech and Language Therapy
Individualized therapy addressing areas such as articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, fluency, and voice. Therapy is tailored to each student's goals, strengths, and educational needs. Â
Professional Development
We empower educators and school staff with the knowledge and resources needed to support students' communication development. Through professional development and practical training, we help teams build effective strategies into everyday learning environments. Â
Family Support
We support families in understanding their child's communication needs and navigate the special educaiton process. Through individualized guidance, parent resources, and clear explanations of speech and language services, we help families understand evaluation results, educational needs, IEPs, and their rights and responsibilities under IDEA. Â
Clinical Director
With 20 plus years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Layla leads Pelican Teletherapy with a focus on clinical excellence, collaboration, and family-centered care. By remaining actively involved in direct services, she brings first hand insight into the needs of students and the challenges they experience. In addition to direct services, she serves as the liaison between school districts and providers, leads professional development and practical trainings, and provides clinical oversight and IDEA-focused case management to support effective communication services for students. Â

With over 15 years of experience in business management, leadership, and customer service, Misty brings a strong background in business operations to Pelican Teletherapy. As Operations Manager for Pelican Teletherapy, Misty oversees the administrative and operational side of the company, ensuring that systems run smoothly and that clinicians can focus on providing exceptional care to their clients. She is passionate about creating an organized, supportive, and professional environment while helping Pelican Teletherapy grow and serve families throughout the community.
